We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the core features of ScanMate PdfScanner.

  • PDF files you import into the app
  • Edited or created PDFs (merge, compress, reorder, drawboard)

2.2 Google Account Information (Google Drive Backup)

  • Name
  • Email address

Purpose:

  • Authenticate your Google account
  • Backup files in your Google Drive
  • Display backup status

2.3 Files and Media Access

  • Scan documents
  • Import PDFs/images
  • Save documents locally

We do not upload your documents to our servers.

2.4 Automatically Collected Data

  • Device model, OS version
  • App version, basic logs
  • Crash reports

2.5 Local Server / Wi-Fi Sharing

The app may act as a local server so devices on the same Wi-Fi can upload/download files. Transfers are local; we do not collect or store this data.

  • Network state – Wi-Fi/server checks
  • Background services – Auto-backup

Cloud Backup via Google Drive

If enabled, your PDFs are backed up to your Google Drive in a dedicated folder. Backup may automatically run periodically.

  • Files are stored in your Google Drive
  • We do not access the contents of your Drive
  • You can disable backup anytime

Vault & Local Storage

Vault files are stored locally and may be encrypted or protected based on device settings.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

We may share limited data with Google or crash reporting services only to operate and improve the app.
